Mastering the
On-Camera Audition
A comprehensive workshop to master both the acting and technical side of self taping!
If you want to work as an actor today, you need to know how to self tape. If you want to stand out as an actor and start booking better jobs, your self tapes need to stand out as well.

Well, you might be surprised to hear what I learned from several prominent casting directors very recently. A lot of self tapes submitted never even make it in front of the client, and not because of talent or type, but because the quality of the self tape is so poor that no one wants to be associated with it by passing it up the chain. All that effort you put into your self tapes and it's ending up in the bin without even being considered.
So how does a self tape stand out from the herd?

It's simple: two things.
First, it needs to be watchable. By watchable, I mean the lighting is spot on, the audio is clear and crisp, the framing and eye-line are correct, and anything you do in the frame suits the medium. You look professional. This will insure that your tape will be watched, and that anyone who handles it will feel secure passing it up the chain, knowing you're going to show up prepared and make them look good in the process.
Second, and very importantly, you need to make sure that what you do inside that frame is actually selling you as effectively as possible. Meaning, you have searched out and eradicated anything that is getting in the way of you shining your brightest through that lens. That might be distracting nervous ticks, unwarranted fears of the camera or microphone, or limiting beliefs that can be overcome with simple, learnable techniques.

Well, the good news is that you can learn - in less than a day - to create self tapes that compete with the highest industry standards, with equipment that is reasonably priced and readily available. In one workshop, you can learn all the skills you need to make sure your self tapes are not only seen, but chosen - by your agent, the casting director, and finally the client.

This workshop, taught personally by Stage to Screen founder Adam Elder Montanaro and esteemed Bay Area acting teacher Bobby Weinapple, will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know.
